João Gomes

João Victor Gomes da Silva (born 12 February 2001); known as João Gomes, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Premier League club Aston Villa and the Brazil national team.

A product of the Flamengo academy, Gomes began his professional career with the club in 2020. He established himself as a key player in the midfield and won several major honours, most notably the 2022 Copa Libertadores. His performances in South America led to a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2023. At international level, Gomes made his senior debut for Brazil in March 2024.
